I am a solo traveler visiting the USA and had a disappointing experience at this IHOP near Jersey Gardens Mall in New Jersey. While waiting, I noticed that a large family was given priority. I completely understand that they were a group of more than five people, and I have no complaint about that. However, after I was seated, I waited about 15–20 minutes and no waiter came to take my order. Despite trying to get attention, I was not served. Eventually, I left without having breakfast. I would also like to mention that the menu looked excellent, and I was genuinely looking forward to trying the food. My disappointment was with the service, not the menu or the restaurant itself. I hope management can improve customer service so that future guests receive timely attention.

This will be the last time I go here! We had a 5-10 min wait which isn’t bad at all. We got to our table and one waitress right away said she will be right with us. We sat there for a few mins then a different waitress passed saying she would be right with us. Waited more and finally a guy came up and took our drinks along with the manager a few minutes later. The two waitress then came to our table discussing who was gonna serve us (the one that didn’t want to ended up being our waitress after the conversation). It was an awkward conversation because they were trying to figure it out and one said she didn’t want to. She was nice but we felt like it was an inappropriate conversation to have right in front us. After that I had to switch my drink because she chocolate milk had SO much chocolate (literally had 1 sip and was still charged for it). After we put in our order, it took a while for it to come out (which was fine but we had to go). When the food got to our table, we noticed with the kids meal that the plate was dirty. He had the happy face pancake and some fries and it looked like eggs on the plate. That was when I got really frustrated. It took forever to get the check when

I visited this location on a Saturday which this location was pretty packed inside which is a good sign. I came with a party of 5 and was quickly attended and had a place to sit as soon as we got there. Our waitress was the nicest person I met and always made sure we had what we needed. Our table was a bit wobbly on the legs and she quickly had that issue resolved. The food was made fast and fresh and I enjoyed every single bite. Very clean and respectful location. Will definitely be visiting again!

We had a wonderful time at this IHOP location! The food was served hot and fresh, specifically the world-famous buttermilk pancakes which were as fluffy as always. Our server was attentive and made sure our coffee mugs stayed full, which we really appreciated. The atmosphere is very casual and welcoming, making it a perfect spot for a weekend family breakfast or a quick meal after shopping at the nearby mall. It’s a reliable classic that never disappoints when you’re craving a hearty breakfast in Elizabeth!

I got to IHOP around 7:45am and wasn’t greeted at all…no “good morning,” no welcome, nothing. I was finally seated at 7:55, and the lady just tossed the menu on the table and said, “sit right there.” Not exactly the best first impression. My waitress, on the other hand, was really kind and attentive once things got going. She took my order around 8:05, and the food came out by 8:20. I ordered the sampler with an orange juice, plus a kids’ waffle meal with strawberries, bananas, and an apple juice. The total came to about $30, which honestly didn’t feel worth it. The pancakes weren’t how I remembered them these were kind of “peelable,” like they had layer and the booths were super tight, which made it tough to manage a toddler comfortably. I left around 8:45, and by then it was getting busy, but when I arrived there were only about four other groups. Overall, it was an okay visit. The waitress was sweet, but the greeting and food quality could’ve been better.
